Managed IT questions, answered plainly
The questions Cherokee County business owners and office managers ask us most often.
What are managed IT services?
An ongoing agreement where one provider looks after your computers, network, accounts, security and backups for a fixed monthly fee. Instead of paying when something breaks, you pay for it to be maintained and supported.
Which parts of Cherokee County do you serve?
All of it, including Canton, Woodstock, Towne Lake, Holly Springs, Ball Ground, Waleska, Nelson, Hickory Flat, Free Home and Macedonia. Our engineers come from Alpharetta for on-site work.
How fast do you respond?
A senior engineer replies to new inquiries within one business day. For clients, response targets by urgency are written into your agreement, and most help desk requests are handled remotely the same day.
How much do managed IT services cost?
It depends on the number of users and devices and which services you include. After an assessment we give you a fixed monthly price in writing, with projects quoted separately up front.
Do we need a long contract?
We'll go through the agreement terms with you before you sign. Our goal is to keep clients because the service is good, not because they're locked in.
Can you work with our in-house IT person?
Yes. Some clients keep an internal person for day-to-day needs and use us for security, monitoring, projects and backup. We divide responsibilities clearly so nothing is missed.
We're a medical or dental office. Can you help with HIPAA?
Yes. We implement and document the technical safeguards in the HIPAA Security Rule, such as access controls, encryption, audit logging and backups, and support your risk analysis. Your practice remains responsible for its policies.
Our office has slow or unreliable internet. Can you help?
We review what providers are available at your address, fix problems inside the office such as poor Wi-Fi or old equipment, and set up a backup connection where outages are a real risk.
What happens if we're hit by ransomware?
We contain the infected systems, find out what was affected, restore from protected backups and help you work through notifications to your insurer, bank or clients if needed. Prevention and tested backups make that day far shorter.
Do we need to replace our server?
Not always. Many offices can move files and email to Microsoft 365 and retire the server. Some software still needs a server, local or hosted. We look at each application and recommend what fits.
Find out what your IT really looks like
An assessment shows where your backups, security and support stand today, in plain language. It takes about an hour of your time, and you keep the report whether or not you hire us.
